Abi + Reese's Wedding

Getting ready

Abi began the day getting ready with her bridesmaids at one of the three homes on the property, while the guys were getting ready at a separate spot only a few dozen feet away. We took this time to capture small wedding details, a touching first look with the bride's father, an impromptu dance party, and special moments between friends before Abi + Reese's first look.

Portraits

Once everyone was wedding-ready, we headed to New Orleans' classic, City Park, for the first look, as well as couple & bridal party portraits. The couple's love for each other and excitement for marriage was so tangible, it made capturing their relationship so easy. In addition, what is normally oppressive New Orleans August heat, turned out to be quite enjoyable weather! I didn't even have to use my air conditioned neck fan LOL.

Ceremony

While guests began trickling in, the couple was tucked away in the second of the three homes, and they took time to rest and visit with their bridal party, and their dearest family and friends said prayers over them as the prepared to begin this new chapter of their lives. The ceremony was very beautifully paired down and simple, taking place in front of a white plaster wall, with guests seated in the traditional two columns in white chairs. The couple said "I do!!" after a 20 minute ceremony, then danced back up the aisle!

Reception

While guests mingled and grabbed beverages, the ceremony space was transformed into the dance floor. Abi and Reese snuck away for a bite to eat, and we grabbed some portraits of their private moment in the courtyard.

The couple surprised their guests with a beignet & coffee treat from New Orlean's iconic Cafe Du Monde, the perfect dance floor energy boost! After the first dances, Abi and Reese cut their personal wedding cake poolside, danced the night away, then ended the night with a sparkler exit. Until next time, New Orleans!
